Labor & Birth Support
WHEN LEFT UNDISTURBED, BIRTH INHERENTLY WORKS. WITHOUT UNNECESSARY INTERVENTION, OUR BODIES AND BABIES KNOW HOW TO GIVE BIRTH AND BE BORN.
The heart of midwifery care is forming relationships with clients based on trust, informed choice and evidence based research. This is foundational for physiological labor and birth to unfold.

Birth is safe.
Birth is safe.
There is no difference in infant mortality between midwife-attended and physician-attended births for low-risk pregnancies. Countries such as the Netherlands, Sweden and New Zealand, which have the best birth outcomes in the world, use midwives as their main maternity care providers.
Prenatal Care
IN OUR OFFICE AND AT YOUR HOME
Prenatal care is done in the office.
Expect monthly visits until 28 weeks, visits every 2 weeks until 36 weeks, weekly visits until birth. The initial appointment includes health history, lifestyle, nutrition, and supplements. Visits include health assessments of you and baby such as: belly checks to listen to the baby’s heart rate, estimating fetal weight, growth, position and fluid levels. For mom we check pulse, blood pressure, weight, overall wellness and order individualized lab work and scans. There is always time for questions, education and organizing referrals to doctors and other healthcare providers.
AT YOUR HOME
At about 36 weeks your birth team will visit your home. This is so we know how to get to your place,
day or night, and to check your labor, baby and postpartum supplies.
