INTERGRATIVE MIDWIFERY

Integrative midwifery care is a fundamentally different approach to pregnancy and birth than contemporary obstetrics. This collaborative model merges the midwifery model of care with concurrent care from your medical provider. Working independently, your midwife provides expert prenatal care throughout your pregnancy. This includes things like routine prenatal visits, in-office lab work and screenings, plenty of time for your questions and childbirth education, new parents support group, breastfeeding support and ongoing parenting classes.

During your labor, you will have access to your midwife while receiving continuous doula support from home to hospital. Your team helps you decide when to go to the hospital and supports you through this transition. Once there, they stay by your side and advocate on your behalf with your medical team. Your midwife will continue to provide holistic, on-going care for you and your newborn in your home, for a full six weeks postpartum. By providing nurturing, hands-on, and comprehensive prenatal care and education, we develop trusting relationships with our clients. As care providers, this is such a gift and allows for outcomes of confident, supported labors and births.
